National Independence Day of Poland

Four generations have waited in vain for this moment; the fifth has lived to see it.

(Jędrzej Moraczewski, Prime Minister of the Second Polish Republic)

In 1918, after 123 years of occupation, Poland regained independence. It is celebrated on November 11th, as a National Independence Day of Poland.

These celebrations create an opportunity to remind us, how precious our freedom is, and how hard it was to achieve.

The Józef Piłsudski Muzeum in Sulejówek seems like good place for that, and this is the place which Fundacja Jednym Śladem choose as a start place for their motorcycle parade.

Fundacja Jednym Śladem is an NGO promoting road safety, with emphasis on motorcycles. You may spot their bright yellow moto-ambulances on the pictures.
