Royal Garden of Light – Wilanów Palace
Wilanów Palace, located in Wilanów district of Warsaw, was built near the end of 17th century for Polish King, John III Sobieski. It is one of very few masterpieces of architecture to survive partitioning of Poland and both World Wars. Today, it is home to one of most important Polish museums.
The Palace is surrounded by a Garden, which in recent years becomes Royal Garden of Light, during winters.
It offers light installations around the palace, and the front of the palace is turned into screen, on which short movies are displayed. These include fairy tales for the youngest visitors and some more advanced topics related to art and environment for the older ones.
The light installations might not be a match for artistic value of place interiors, still are nice idea to attract visitors during dark winter days.
